Test Project

DESCRIPTION:

This West lawn home in the Wilson School District was renovated inside and out. Totally gutted and redone in a professional manor. All new lighting, kitchen, flooring, painting etc was completed.

CHALLENGE:

We have to open up kitchen walls to create an open space and move some bedroom walls to create a better flow. That was not the challenge by far. All of the interior walls were concrete block. Yes that’s right, Concrete block. We certainly did not see this coming. All of the interior walls were made of 4″ CONCRETE BLOCK,  not the standard 2″ x 4″ wood construction. We also had to dig a trench drain around part of the house to alleviate a water problem. The saving grace was that we bought this house at the right price as we do all of our investment properties and this house was located in the Wilson School District.

SOLUTION:

I would like to say there was a magical or innovative solution but, it all came down to hard work and a concentrated effort to keep the budget in control. The end result was a beautifully renovated home with a much needed improved layout.
